Pronger to the Kings for Jack Johnson and the 5th Overall
Here's the link:

It is not 100% set in stone yet, but it really can't be because they:
a) don't want to upstage game 7
b) can't actually trade until season ends.
This is a legitimate source and if this trade actually goes through this is one of the worst trades in recent time. Lombardi should be fired.

Indeed. I feel sorry for them. I wish them the best with Pronger.
In the words of Borat: NOT!
Seriously though, when we traded 2 1st rounders, Smid and Lupul for Pronger i hated the deal... But we went and took the Cup. Maybe this is just what the Kings need. A world-class experienced Defensman to help their younger team. Time will tell. Looking at it now, good deal for the Ducks.
EDIT: Not sure it's even true though. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/story/2009/06/ ... kings.html

They need to send Brown to the Bruins! He's our type of player.Laker2415 wrote:This trade is absolutely brutal, if you're a Kings fan. Maybe the Kings can help out my Avs by sending Dustin Brown and Anze Kopitar for a 6th rounder and a used puck bag!
Back to the trade...
While I've heard that Jack Johnson is a bit of trouble (along with his agent dad), this really is a steal for the Ducks. They're trimming some salary from the payroll, adding a talented young defenseman, and a 5th overall pick in what looks to be a good draft. That's a smart deal.
