[OLD] 3: Challenge Stats Recording / GLR Display Info

STATS RECORDING INSTRUCTIONS

UPDATED SPREADSHEET FOR CHALLENGE 7 - GET IT HERE

All instructions for where to find the needed stats in the game and how to figure those stats are on the Challenge Recording Pages file or as the first page of the Spreadsheet (again, you may have to use the navigation buttons to access the instructions page) you downloaded.

You will post your team's stats to the Recording Thread after games 20, 40, 60 and 82. Each time these stats are ONLY for that set of twenty games. Also remember that along with your game 82 stats you need to record how many playoff games your team was able to win that season.

If using the Recording Chart follow the instructions for using the Chart to arrive at your stats for each section, you will have to do the calculations yourself though the Chart should make it easier to keep track of.

If using the Spreadsheet you enter your total stats at each point in the game and then navigate to the page with the set you are recording 1-20, 21-40, etc. and it will have all the stats you need to cut and paste into the Recording Thread. The sheet will make the calculations for you, you just need to type in your overall stats to that point. For example if you record for 1-20 that you had 15 wins and 5 losses and then enter your new total stats at game 40 of 25 wins and 15 losses the sheet will output automatically that for that set you had 10 wins and 10 losses.

:tiptap: Spreadsheeters: Don't forget to post your total number or playoff wins with your last set of stats!

:minty: WARNING!! Improperly recorded stats will result in disqualification from bonus points which would make it near impossible to do well. You get exactly ONE chance per Challenge to record your stats correctly, NO EXCEPTIONS. :minty: If you have a question :-? ask first!

To further repeat this to make it as clear as possible: After game forty you will post stats only for games 21-40, after game 60 you will post stats only for games 41-60. At the end of the season you will post stats only for games 61-82 plus reporting your playoff wins total.

We've provided more than adequate instructions for doing this and now even an automatically calculating spreadsheet; so there will be no second chances. :dunno:

We've changed the way we record the stats for each challenge, we've moved into a new integrated system. You'll find the link at the top of the header image under 'Challenge Stats' or by clicking here. This new system is much easier for you all to view your stats from this season and also previous challenges.

Your team will be scored according to the details of Announce Thread #4. It's a scoring system that reflects which team performed the best across all of the stats we collect. The user with the highest overall number wins!

If you do record things incorrectly odds are we'll simply tell you to figure out what you did wrong instead of walking people through it. That is what all these threads are for. You'll be told to refer back to them. Check back after posting your stats to make sure there are no errors pointed out or comments made my the recording crew about your post.

HERE IS THE INFO ON YOUR REQUIRED SCREENSHOTS:

At the end of your season you need to post four screenshots to verify your recorded statistics. Please keep in mind the important thing about your screenshots is that we can clearly read your numbers. If you need to save the file as a .gif to make that possible then do so. We don't care how ugly/chunky/striped the graphics look as long as the numbers are legible. If you have the tools/knowledge to do so please help us save server space by optomizing your images.

Please click on each of the following links to view an example screenshot of each. Added to (typed onto) each screenshot is additional information about that screenshot and it's contents.

Year End Team Stats/Standings

Year End Player Stats

Playoff Schedule/Results (unless you recorded zero playoff wins)

Finances Screen

About Finances in EHM 2007: Finance views have changed since 2005 (I'll update the above screenies when I get a chance) the figure for budget that should be used is the one that displays when you offer a trade to a team. This is also listed on your Finances page as "Est. Averaged Club Salary (p/a)". The 'Total' amount is now total for your entire roster so we'd be forcing people to slash salaries unnecessarily if we asked people to get that number down to the TBL budget of $36mil.

At any point you may be asked to submit a screenshot to verify any stats or transactions. If asked and you do not provide the requested screenshot your team will be disqualified and you may not be allowed to participate in future Challenges.

Recording of stats may be closed as soon as five weeks from the date that the first Challenge team records their games 60-82 stats

If this were to be done we will post a message in the Challenge thread to announce that a deadline will be enforced.

The official scoring system and Second Season and Beyond info has been posted in announce thread #4.
