Now that Deutchland Cup has it's own thread why not start a thread for the tournament between the four best nations in Europe?
Yesterday Karjala Tournament started with matches between Sweden-Czech Rep and Finland-Russia.
Sweden beat Czech 4-3, and surprise surprise, Peter Forsberg made a comeback again. His first game for the national team since the Gold Medal game in Torino. He once again aims for NHL, but I would love to see him in Elitserien as I don't think he's ready for play in NHL.
And Russia beat Finland 4-3 in overtime.

How did Forsberg look in the first game?
If he plays well in this tournament he'll probably get snapped up by a team in the NHL, depending on his salary demands.
I noticed the other day that Glen Sather said he was interested in brining him to the Rangers. I can't see him going anywhere apart from the Avalanche or the Flyers though.

He was decent, he was not as dominating as he can be. For obvious reasons now that he has only practiced with MODO's juniors and a little with their main squad.
He still aims for NHL, but as I said I don't think he is ready for play in NHL yet. But now Forsberg is going to play two games in two days and after that we should see if he's any good. The man played his first game after playing three games with MODO in the beginning of the season, which was in September. I hope he is fit for playing as I would love to see Forsberg and Lidström in the Swedish olympic team.

I was in the Finland-Sweden match today... Nothing to say, but TOTAL DOMINATION!!! Finns just kept the pressure hi 2,5 periods and scored 7 goals. Forsberg did not play that well, he made a major mistake to lose the puck to Pihlström one time and then finns scored by that. IMO Peter is maybe , but maybe a star for MODO. But he got nominated the Fair Play- player, why methinks. But Morozov won couple of awards there and were in the All-Star line. Oh, well, IF Finland has played that brave hockey against Russia, They would've win.

Ville "Swede-Killer" Peltonen rocks!!!! He scored 2+2 against Sweden!!!

P.s. people who don't know him (played last years in Florida Panthers, todays in KHL's Dinamo Minsk), or don't know where that nickname come from, there's explain: he scored hat-trick against Sweden in 1995 World Championships, when Finland won their only Championship.
