Lidas Rosters and Challenge 16!

Post by bruins72 »

We are extremely pleased to announce the release of the latest Lidas Rosters update (version 2.2). As I'm sure you're all aware by now (if you play EHM and you visit this site, you've got to know about the Lidas Rosters), Lidas puts an insane amount of work into building an updated database that allows use all to keep playing EHM with current players and rosters even though the game itself is no longer being developed. Essentially, these rosters updates are keeping the game alive.

All discussion about this version of the Lidas Roster ver 2.2 should go HERE.

To go with the Lidas Rosters, we're also kicking off a new challenge!

For this challenge we're taking control of the Edmonton Oilers! Lidas made us a special version of his rosters for the challenges. It's got a few tweaks to it to make the Oilers a better challenge team. First and foremost, they're without Khabibulin. As the challenge progresses you'll be cursing the Oilers' lack of goaltending!

Special thanks to Andyjayp for the snazzy Challenge announcement graphic. Also, a big thanks to Manimal for helping me figure out the team to use on this challenge. We did a lot of brainstorming and testing to finally decide on this one.

Download the special roster update HERE.

As you can see in the graphic above, the challenge will run from the 8th of February to the 8th of April.

Please be sure to re-read the challenge rules. Please note that we've tweaked the wording on the UFA signings. The maximum values on the contracts are now for the Cap Hit and not the Annual Salary. This is intended to prevent people from beefing up a contract offer with a bloated signing bonus. The Challenge Rules Cheat Sheet can be downloaded HERE. Please note that the wording on the UFA signings hasn't been updated on the cheat sheet yet.

The Challenge Stat Recording Spreadsheet can be downloaded HERE.

All Challenge 16 discussion should go HERE.

Good luck!

Cool!
btw: you have "not" surplus in the sentence "The maximum values on the contracts are not for the Cap Hit and not the Annual Salary. "

Thanks. That should read "now". I'll fix that.

Cheat Sheet v1.16 has now been uploaded. This clarifies that the Pyramid covers cap hit rather than salary.
