EHM 2007 Demo Issue

Post by thegoons21 »

Hey all. I downloaded the EHM 2007 demo to make sure I can actually play the game before buying the full version. It downloads and installs without issue. When I open it up to play and click on the "trial" button it automatically tells me, "EHM has stopped working, etc." I am on Vista 64-bit laptop. My hope is that someone might be able to tell me that it's an issue with the demo and the full version works just fine.....anyhow if any of you could offer any help I'd greatly appreciate it.

Do you play in administrator mode?

Yeah, I've tried to start it in Admin mode and I get the same thing. Gonna see if any of the fixes in the linked thread work for me.

Tried all the suggested fixes and I'm still crashing immediately after the eliscence thing when I hit trial....not sure why. My screen resolution is 1280x800 so I think I'm good there. Any other suggestions?

That 800px might be a bit close. Have you had a chance to change any settings in the game yet, specifically the resolution? In other words, have you changed it to "windowed" at any point?

I think if it's trying to open as a window, but doesn't have room for it, it just crashes. The game itself is 1024x768, and you'll need an extra X pixels for the window's titlebar and border.

I can't get into the game enough to change the settings. I did copy the target URL into the .exe (-small - windowed, etc.) from the other thread and that didn't fix it either. At a loss.....

Would you be able to post a screen shot of your error? (or you can just type it, that would probably be easier). Or is it just this error dialog?
