Methinks we do need a Playoff thread, so I took the liberty and created one (my first thread on TBL, yay). Don't hit me for that, but I even named it the Official one.
So today it starts. We've got five games scheduled for tonight:
East
NYR @ WSH
TBL @ PIT
West
CHI @ VAN
PHX @ DET
NSH @ ANA
Can't wait!
Canucks are without Malhotra (injury) and Torres (suspension), so that means young Hodgson might get his chance. I'm cautiously optimistic about the game, but I've got a feeling that it might not be as easy as some people think.
So, we're finally underway. Canucks had one hell of a first period vs the Hawks yesterday, but later on the play got more even. I wonder how many minutes the Sharp-Toews-Kane line is going to play in the following games. I really enjoyed Lapierre throwing some nice hits, though. Never liked the guy, but it was nice watching him yesterday.
I also got a chance to see the replay of the Penguins game against Lightning, and cannot help wondering where did Stamkos go. He was virtually unnoticeable yesterday. I'm somewhat disappointed with Tampa as they just didn't look like they had any idea how to win that game.
The game was boring to watch IMO. Pens really surprised me even without Cindy and Malkin. Wash/Rags game was good to watch, Lundqvist played an amazing game in the loss!!
LOL You're not the only one, all the arena was booing the Bruins. They even booed Keven Yokoulis or Pedroia from the Red Sox when he was presented on the screen. I expect a big comeback from them tomorrow, gonna be another nice game.
Jarred Stoll to have a hearing from hit to Ian White.
I didn't see the hit, but it's nice to see that they are still taking this seriously in the playoffs. I expect a 1 or 2 game suspension, or maybe even just a fine. Nothing mroe than that though.

I called it. A one-game suspension. The just updated the smae story, so the link in my original post brings you to the story.
Nice to see that finally one of my American sports teams are doing rather well. Even though the Bruins lost their first game I am still confident we will progress. After a good season I had a good feeling that this could be our year and I still do, it will be tough.
Still at 1-0 down their is still a lot to play for. Come on BRUINS!
3-1 Habs after 2, wow! I was never expecting something like this. The game is not over though but I can see some Bruins players mad, really mad. It's weird that alot of people are saying that MTL loves do to dirty things after the whistle but when Boston is losing, especially against MTL, they always do things like this too.
Watched Detroit-Phoenix tonigt, quite exciting last five minutes with 5:3 advantage for the Coyotes and they scored just a few seconds left on the man advantage. In the interview after the game Franzen looked like beaten up, he had patches and all that stuff all over his face.

Only three times in history has a team ever come back to win 3-0 (although one was last year). I really don't see the Nucks losing three straight here. I'd bet my (rather petty) savings account on this one.

Only 2 games gone mate, the next one is a must win though. If we lose tonight then I think our Stanley Cup hopes are over. However if we win tonight I feel we have the quality to get through against the Canadians.

No matter what, losing the first two games of this series AT HOME and playing so poorly in those efforts... they should be embarrassed.

Looking at it that way, they should be embarrassed. But I was trying to stay positive
Bruins can be good on the road even though they seemed to be shocked of those two games. They absolutely need to win tonight, which will probably not be easy. Price is like a wall and the team is playing well in defense, alot of shots block!
Too bad I'm working Wednesday morning, I will not be able to watch the Nucks/Hawks game.
