Hey, guys.
I've just recently downloaded the Gold Trial version and have gotten up to my first exhibition game. However, I am unable to continue because I don't have any goalies dressed, for one thing. No goalies show up on my main roster page, but when I search for them, I can see goalies I have contracts with (Biron, Noronen and Miller (in Rochester)).
Besides that, on the main roster page, at the bottom where it shows the # of players on the roster and # of dressed players, I have zero players dressed.
I'm unsure if I just don't have the ability to play any further because it's a trial version or if I'm just not seeing how to dress players for games.
So, if someone can please point me to where I should be able to activate/dress players for games, I would appreciate. I'm assuming if I still won't be able to do this, then it's just because of the trial version.
Thanks a lot,
ZenPablo

Hey ZP, welcome to the site!
Sorry for not yet responding to your e-mail; it was on my list of things to do, I promise
The trial version lets you play six months so it's nothing to do with that.
You will find your goalies in your farm team(s). I'm going quote a bit from the Guide on this:
As for dressing players:

The trial version lets you play six months so it's nothing to do with that.
You will find your goalies in your farm team(s). I'm going quote a bit from the Guide on this:
You can promote a player by clicking on his name, clicking on 'Action' and then click on 'Send to Buffalo' (I think that's what it says). On the Bruins’ Roster View Screen, click on ‘See Also’ on the left hand of the screen and you will see the Providence Bruins listed. Clicking on this displays their team.
I only have one other goalie contracted to Boston (Hannu Toivonen). I know this because he is the only goalie highlighted in green. Since I need a second goalie, I will promote him to the Bruins team.
As for dressing players:
I suggest you refer to Section 2 of the Guide. This is done by clicking on the square to the left of the player’s name whilst on the roster view. This results in a ‘G’ or a ‘S’ appearing in the box, depending on whether the player is a goalie or a skater.
Next, I need to assign Raycroft as my starting goalie and Toivonen as my backup. This is done by going to the Tactics Screen. Clicking on the number next to Raycroft’s name highlights the player in yellow. I can now assign him to a position in the line-up.
In order to put him as the starting goalie, I click on the ‘G’ to the left of ‘S’ (indicating starting goalie) under the goalies section on the left hand side of the screen. I then follow the same steps to put Toivonen as the backup but I click on ‘G’ to the right of ‘B’ (for backup) instead of ‘S’.

Hey, thanks for the reply here. : )
I'm still stuck on this, unfortunately. On the primary Roster page, titled "General Info" I see the list of players, making sure that "All Players" are checked on the Filter.
Regarding the status box to select for dressing/deactivating, I don't find a box that let's me make that distinction. There is a box to the left of each player, but it only let's me rank my players, seemingly in terms of most valuable for ice time. I can only change the relative rank # that each box displays. This box appears under the heading "Drs" so for example, I have Satan at #1, Drury #2, etc. There is also a heading to the left of player names that is titled "Inf" and appears to note whether a player is wanted by another team, injured, etc. but is not something I can alter. There is no other column to the left of the players on my screen, besides the left most column that has a list of other topics.
Also, the only place I can find my primary goalies, Biron and Noronen, is by using the Search function or viewing the Training Camp link which has a view titled "Camp Overview." I -have- found how to access the Rochester Americans farm team where I can see Ryan Miller and recall him to the Sabres.
I hope my descriptions of what I'm looking at are accurate enough that you can imagine what I'm seeing here. I'm afraid this is my last hope of getting past this snafu. I'm simply stuck between thinking I've completely missed something painfully obvious to everyone else or the basic interface of the game is a big disappointment. : ( Anyway, thanks again for your assistance in helping me figure this out. I would really enjoy this game, I think.
Regards,
ZenPablo
