Baie-Comeau Drakkar

Post by Wild94 »

Using Lidas 2.3, with 4 Gen Talents.. all 2 created, 2 edited...

Max 3 trades for year.. no interference on Euros and stuff, comments are fine via pm if you like.. good, bad, idc.

Auguust 16th 2006

Wow, here I am, the youngest GM in the Q, at 24, me, Martin Ward. My outline, my plan is to turn Baie-Comeau into a model Q team... People think I'm crazy, cause BC is a ghost town according to some. Turth be told, they're a small market, with limited resources, however I will make the most with what I have.. Right now we have a few players who don't want to play here and some who want out, that will be adressed, I want players who want to be here. We have a 3 year plan, to be a contender in the 3rd year. 5 years from now were going to be a model team.

Were going to bring in the staff that will help us acheive our goals, and to develop the players who play here.

Baie-Comeau annouce that they have released the rights to the following 20 year olds:
William Duvernay
Vincent Dumont
Yan Langlois
David Lizotte
Julien Cayer
Francois Lanctot-Marcot
Jason Maheux
Guiallame Brisebois

The Drakkar are expected to make a few trades, hire some personnel and release the rights to more players..

August 18th

The owners announced that they will only allow me to have a maximum of 2 scouts, 1 trainer and 1 assistant coach, this will make things diffcult when convincing players to report, also Ryan Labrie has informed us he will not play in Baie-Comeau.

The Drakkar announced that they have treaded overage defenceman Maxime Renaud to Rimouski for a 2007 3rd round pick.

The move is rumored to have been made because overage import goalie Marek Benda may be reporting to Baie-Comeau.. The Drakkar are expected to package Ryan Labrie's rights along with Mike Villeneuve and another player to acquire a 16 year old center to play on the top line.

August 21st 2006

The Drakkar announced that they have released the rights to OA goaltender Marek Benda after he signed with a team in the Czech Elite League.

Martin Ward on Benda's decision: Well its dissapointing, He would of started 50-55 games here, he probably could of carried us into the playoffs aswell, I had been told by him and his agent that he would play here.. Cleary Zlin offered him enough to change his mind about junior, we dont have the money to pay players, we offer the standard by the book package.. Unlike Quebec where they throw hundreds of thousands of dollars at players.

Right now our focus is training camp and moving Labrie's rights and Mike Villenuve, I will attempt to bring in a 1st line center, he may be 16 or 17... it may be a Euro but we don't know.

I will be behind the bench this year, I will name my assistant soon.

I would also like to announce that we have hired Jake Goetzern as a Scout and that we have signed goalie Alexandre Alain-Rajotte.

Finnish Coach Teemu Lekkonen will be my assitant one the bench this year.

August 23 2006

The Drakkar will hold a press conference tomorrow where they will anounced a trade.

August 23rd 2006

Before opening their pre-seaon against Rimouski, the Drakkar announced that they have made a trade, however they will make another move shortly and will delay the press conference.

Loik Poudrier is in the lineup for Baie-Comeau, which means the Drakkar have made a trade with the Montreal Junior Hockey Club.

The Oceanic pounded the Drakkar 9-3, and outshot them 35-23.

August 24th 2006

The Drakkar announce that they have made the following moves:

To Montreal:
Guillame Langelier-Parent
To Baie-Comeau
Loik Poudrier
Rights to Phillipe Saviuk

To Gatineau
Rights to Ryan Labrie
Mike Villeneuve
Nathan Dunett

To Baie-Comeau
Denis Kindl
Rights to Sammuel Normandeau

Ward on the moves: We've adressed our concerns at center ice, and we added to players who will play here and who can help us make the playoffs, Denis will center the 1st line, and Loik will play 2nd line mintues we aim to be competitive, and to contend long term, the moves we made will help us do that, Phillipe and Samuel are defenseman, Samuel is an offensive guy, and Phillipe is a defensive guy, were pleased with these moves, we got younger as a whole, better and we have moved out 4 players who did not want to play here, and who weren't in our long term plans.

August 25th

The Drakkar announced that Garbriel Verpaelest had declined their offer and will play in Granby this year, and that they have come to terms with Jean-Francois Gosselin.

The Drakkar lost 5-2 to Bathrust and fell to 0-2-0 in pre-season play.

I understand his (Verpaelest) choice to play Junior A, he's reluctant to come here, we will countinue to pursue him, but for now he will play in Granby, he was garunteed top minutes, so its not a choice where he was a fringe player, he isn't sold on the Q.

Were glad that JF is on board, he will be on our team this year.

September 15th 2006

The Drakkar Anounced their roster today and that they had signed Tommy Samson, all the players who were cut are reporting to Campbelton of the MJAHL.

Goalies
Alexandre-Alain Rajotte
Simon Giroux

Peview: Not the best tandem, Giroux will likely play protected minutes as he is BC's guy going foward, the goalies will have to give the Drakkar a chance every single night, their in for a long season.

Defence:
Frederik Cote
Antoine Laperriere
Maxime Lamarche
Jonathan Parisien
Antoine Letourneau
Samuel Normandeau

The Skinny: The worst defensive crops in the Q by alot, this could of been a younger crop, but age will help weather the storm, the goalies will see alot of rubber and the fowards can expect little support.

Forwards:

Left wingers:
Rapahel Bussieres
Simon Olsson (C)
Jordan Bernier
Mario Boilard

Centers
Loik Poudirer
Denis Kindl
Tommy Samson
Phillipe Richer

Right Wingers
Simon Darveau
David Cliche
JF Gosselin
Marc-Olivier Mimar

The Skinny: No elite players, solid top 6, nothing special, they can socre with most team.. however after the top line there's not much, Baie-Comeau will be starved for goals, and the will along a ton.

Prediction: Last, they don't have anyone who can carry the team or carry the offense, expect a lottery pick. Its going to be a long year with few bright spots. Pre-season record of 2-9-0 was no fluke.

The lines this year are as follows:

Giroux
Rajotte

Lamarche-Parisien
Cote-Letourneau
Laperriere-Normandeau

Olsson-Kindl-Cliche
Bussieres-Poudrier-Mimar
Boilard-Samson-Darveau
Bernier-Richier-Gosselin

Captain:Simon Olsson
Assistants: David Cliche and Tommy Samson

October 1st 2006

A rough September is finished, the Drakkar went 1-4-1 this month socring 16 goals while allowing 26.. Fans do not like the Drakkar's free flowing finesse game, as the Drakkar are being bullied every game and are rarely in it, Olsson and Kindl have not live up to expectations so far and Bussieres has shown his fustration. Defenceman Antoine Letourneau is the Drakkar player of the month, he leads the team in socring, with 5 pts in 6 games (2G, 3A).

November1st 2006

October wasn't kind to the Drakkar, the moved out of the basement, they now sit at 4-11-2 and are in 16th place.
They have scored 50 goals and allowed 80, Denis Kindl is player of the month, he now leads the team in scoring with 16 points.

December 1st 2006

November is over and the snow has fell in Baie-Comeau, for many a long winter is expected, however there's optimism in the air as the Drakkar sit at 8-19-3 which is good for 16th in the Q. The Drakkar had a solid November and their play is picking up.
