The Hutch wrote:The team winning will always come first, but I think they knew all along that Price was going to be the one they commit to in the long run.
With that trade it's 100% sure no doubt about it. It's Price and no one else.......ouch.
Good luck Flyers with that futur signing ouch.....plus the Preds take the player they trade 3 years ago, stupid.
I'm surprise though that Nashville trade Arnott, I know since 2 years he slowed down alot but it was still their captain. Plus, they don't got to much for him. Well with Arnott in the team I think the little chances to see Kovalchuk are gone now.
Tallon is cleaning house in Florida and rumor has it that Horton will be going to either Buffalo or Boston. I'm not sure how I'd feel about him coming to Boston. I've often heard the term "heartless" used when describing him. But then I wonder if that's a product of his environment. It must be hard to play in Florida where nobody cares. Plus, I've read that he really upped his game last season. We'll see how it all plays out.
Bob McKenzie (Or Darren Dreger, I can't remember but I am more sure it was McKenzie) made mention of a Horton to Boston deal that was being held off until this week here.
Sorry, just went back to check (Should have done that while posting, but what can ya do!) and this was Bob McKenzie's tweet on the matter from yesterday:
BTW, nothing imminent on Horton with BOS as in tonight. Stand down. Going to be a big week for potetial wheeling and dealing.
Canucks hire Rollie the Goalie as their goaltending coach. Montreal loses him. Roland Melanson for those kids out there, who do not know the name Rollie the goalie as anything but Dwayne Roloson.
Melanson was fired since last year at MTL they don't lose anything.
Horton to Boston is confirmed! Don't got other names for the moment.
Edit: I know some Bruins fans here who will be happy to see Wideman gone. Not a bad trade.....just no more 2 first picks for the B's, anyway they still got the most important of both.
5 millions will be a little too high for me though. I don't think Pleckanec will make 80 pts per season all the time, plus in playoffs he is horrible. Anyway, I should get used to that, the "new" NHL works like that.
