darn forums don't let me edit posts -.-'
Anyways, to add to that, actually I'm kinda glad to see Buff in and, well maybe there is potential to Akim, maybe not. Will see.
Also, Thrashers announced a trade with Sharks, Sterling and Vernace for future considerations. Way I see it? Yeah, let Vernace go, doesn't matter, but Brett Sterling?
56 points in 55 games last season? No need to let him go!

So the Chicago-Atlanta deal is off for now, or at least was for a while, because it would put Atlanta over the contract limit. How do you not know that prior to making a blockbuster trade ?

Also, Craig Ramsay leaves the Bruins staff to become head coach of the Thrashers. Too bad, he's been great for the Bs.

Back on. Joey Crabb has been added to the deal and moved to Chicago.Danny wrote:So the Chicago-Atlanta deal is off for now, or at least was for a while, because it would put Atlanta over the contract limit. How do you not know that prior to making a blockbuster trade ?![]()

Stinson--Jealousy looks bad on you. Hawks have a ton of young guys they had to sign up last season and this season. They have built very very well from when they were at the bottom. Now they are running into the same problem that any good young team does...guys getting new deals. And to have a Flyers fan calling out a team about cap issues is funny.
Lots and lots of people --especially in Vancouver -- are happy to see Buffy dealt to the East. The guy is a beast. However...in Atlanta he is going to have access to alot of greasy, fatty foods...not the best spot for a dude like Dustin. He likes to eat.
This deal is a good one for both teams. Hawks get nice picks. Lose Aliu who is nothing but a headcase and get a chance to pick a little bit higher than they will for the next 5 years with the Devils pick.
Hawks are not yet done, even with the Fraser deal.

Marleau is a player. If Sharks did not give that to him, someone would have. Of the idiot Shark forwards he is the best one. He does everything. scores, kills penalties, solid in own zone, will be physical, sees the ice.
This guy is the best Shark. I don't care what anyone says about Jumbo. Marleau and Pavelski are what make that team tick.
Buffy--That is two years in a row in the playoffs he has become a one man wrecking crew. He has his flaws, but come playoff time the boy is a player.
Problem is...we will never see that again. Cause he plays in Atlanta, who is the only team in the league dumber than Toronto.

As per TSN's Gord Miller, Marleau's deal with SJ is 4 x $6.9M and Pavelski's is 4 x $4M.
Anyways I can't say that I agree with you Bat...
Sather is pretty dumb too.
He makes some great trades though. Horrid signings.
But yes, the Laffs and the Thrashers are just horrid right now. I can see both pushing for a Playoff-ish spot next year (9-10).

Nah, I'd rather see my team move forward, not frantically dismantle itself.gibson41 wrote:You're just jealous.B.
