After what happen to Kovalchuk the NHL will re-investigate Luongo, Hossa, Savard and Pronger contracts. And maybe they will cancelled them if they judged they are illegal ( witch his obvious ) It's about time they put their pants on.

I can't imagine what will happen if 2-3 more contracts gets cancelled. They're going to be UFA right? The team who got the contract wouldn't got the priority to negociate?

That's ridiculous!

I think they have to make new contracts. But if they will be UFA's... oh Adam Oates, think Canucks situation if Luongo signs with other team. I don't know Canucks cap space, but then they could sign Niemi, he's much more cheaper than Luongo.

I thought that too. Anyway with almost every team trap because of the cap space, if one of those players got their contract cancelled, the same team will re-sign them, I don't think any "steal" from other teams.

Nothing will be cancelled. All hell would break loose. The Hawks just won the cup with one of their key players being on one of those deals.

I'd rather get rid of Ryder's contract and maybe Ference's too. Or Thomas' contract even. Savard... I'd keep him and his contract.

Another Qc member is going to Tampa. MTL trade Desjardins for Ramo yesterday. what a great dump trade. Desjardins was maybe a threat to Price so they decide to dump him for a goalie who plays in Russia.

There are rumours that Kovalchuk will sign with NJ and Elias will get traded to EDM in order to free some cap space.

San Jose needs starting goalie.

Willie Mitchell goes to LA. 2-year-contract is worth 7 mills. :-? Why to do 2-year-contract with player who had bad concussion last season.

Randy Jones goes to Tampa.

Steve Downie resigns with Tampa.

I believe San Jose will go with Niitymaki, at least for now.

Good sign for the Kings, Mitchell will bring some power to that D, but if i were Dean Lombardi i would be looking for a ofensive defenceman, as i believe would fit better in Kings playing style.

Paul Kariya will not play at next season :thdn: When 2011-12 season starts he is 36 old player, who has hadn't play last season, so who wants to sign him? Was 09-10 his last season? :-k

Tampa traded Matt Lashoff to Toronto for Alex Berry and Stefano Giliati.

Rumours has been sending Antti Niemi to Oilers. Oilers's starting goalie Nikolai Khabibulin has get caught by overspeeding and driving drunk. He spend next 1-6 months in prison. :-o

He was proved guilty but jail isn't sure for now. There's good possibility though.

I doubt very much that they will put Khabby in jail. The maximum penalty is 6 months in the slammer, but he will probably be let off with community service/a large fine.

Niemi finally sign with a team and that team is the Sharks. One year deal worth 2 millions only. I bet the Hawks are not really happy with that and Niittymaki too.
