More like great job Wiz. Bergeron didn't even touch him. As I said, zebras won't let the Habs die.

I saw the replay and he hit him on the face, good call. The replay I saw was really close and he touched Wiz. I suggest you stop whining lil Bruins fan.
I know the ref did weird decisions in the series but this one was correct.

Part time?
I'm not one, point. I prefer to have a good judgement instead of been blind because I looooooooove the Habs sooooooooo much. I could act as a real Habs fan just for you though.
Ouf, Thomas look nervous. He better be careful!

Et voilà!! The line who was almost doing nothing this far make the Bruins win. I predicted a win in 7 for Boston and they did. I find the serie more boring than I thought though, thanks to Martin's coaching style. They did well without Gorges and Markov. At least Julien still got his job.
Tampa is leading 1-0 with 15 minutes left.....

Well one thing is sure, the Bruins are gonna get raped pretty badly by the Flyers if they don't up their game.

Mmmm maybe, both team are coming out from a 7 game series though so they can be tired too. Bruins need to make that PP working too.

Re: Official 10-11 NHL Playoff Thread
If I was expecting any more from the Habs in this series I would have been delusional. However, to be so close to taking down the Bruins does kill me inside. Plus, I can take some solace in the fact that the Canadiens had a better +/- on the PK than in 5 on 5 play.
I really think the Bruins have the most complete set of 12 forwards in the Eastern Conference, but they are going to have to play better if they want to touch Philly. The Bruins nearly lost to the worst team in the playoffs in my opinion. If you look up and down that Habs roster, they really had no threats beyond Plekanec,Gionta, Cammy and Subban, and even the first 3 are mediocre. Plus, the Bruins may be mentally weak in this series after what transpired last season.
I am not saying the Bruins will lose. In fact, they are a very strong team and if I were comparing the two on paper, I'd say they were about even (Bruins are weaker on defense, but much stronger in net). What I am saying is that they will have to dig their heads out of their bottoms if they have any grand designs on winning this series.
Good luck to you, however, I still hate you guys

I honestly wasn't expecting them to win last night, especially once the Habs tied it up with a couple minutes left to play.Danny wrote:Well one thing is sure, the Bruins are gonna get raped pretty badly by the Flyers if they don't up their game.
The B's better get their power play working if they want to get past the Flyers but I'm not holding my breath.

Come on Racicot Cammy mediocre? He's the first in pts in the playoffs. He got an atrocious season though I give you that but at least he was there when it counted the most, not like the number 11 who wasn't there all year long.

Re: Official 10-11 NHL Playoff Thread
I agree that Cammy is clutch in the playoffs, but he is not what I would call a consistent, natural scoring talent. The Habs really lacked consistent offensive threats. If you look at the Flyers, they have Richards, Carter, Briere, JVR, Giroux, Hartnell. Any one of those guys would be a Habs top liner (Hell, Zherdev would be on their first line). That roster is very weak.philou21 wrote:Come on Racicot Cammy mediocre? He's the first in pts in the playoffs. Right now, I really worry about Boston. However, beating Price might be a little more difficult than beating Boucher, Leighton or Bobrovsky (or Jeremy Duchesne, Nicola Riopel, Johan Backlund or whoever else they have this week).

Re: Official 10-11 NHL Playoff Thread
Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. Though Cammalleri and Gionta proved that when they play with good players they can score goals and pts. If it wasn't for the injuries, Cammy and Gionta at their first season with MTL could have almost got 40 goals each, that's not bad. They also proved in the past they can have good seasons, so why when arriving at MTL almost every "good" players ended up with 40-45 pts seasons?? That's simple, the boring style of play of mister Martin. MTL got a decent offensive team if they were allowed to go offence and not defence, that's goddamn boring sometimes to watch their games! Dump, icing, dump, icing, dump, icing etc......racicot wrote: I agree that Cammy is clutch in the playoffs, but he is not what I would call a consistent, natural scoring talent. Sometimes they make weird choice on the line-up too ( I know I'm not the coach ) but why Martin keep putting Moen on the first line when a guy like Darche as the heart and the willing of no one else in the team? He play physics, sacrifice himself, block shots, go in front of the net ( almost the only player that if doing that in the team ). when I see Moen on the PP and Darche on the bench I just don't understand that. I know Darche will not end up with 50 pts but he could have reach at leaast 40 pts and + this year, he was already 26 in 59, not that bad for that kind of player! Moen with alot of PP time and icitime on the first line? 16 pts and -4. That's a reason I don't like MTL. Next year they better give a proper chance to Desharnais, Pax and some others young guy. Not on the fourth line, on the second with PP or PK time. Lindros Gomez, I don't care if he plays on the fourth even if he is paid 7 millions per year.

Re: Official 10-11 NHL Playoff Thread
Agreed. My one gripe with Martin is that he misused a lot of players. Moen, Darche and Pouliot would have made a good 3rd or 4th line, I just don't see the benefit of having them on the first two lines. Meanwhile, mini little Desharnais should not be on the bottom line. He is a playmaker and he should either be playing on the top two lines or be in Hamilton.philou21 wrote:

Re: Official 10-11 NHL Playoff Thread
Mini Desharnais is playing like a big guy, he is awesome! I find his story amazing ad if the Habs are careful ( and giving him more chances ) he could be the next St-Louis. Maybe not 90 pts per season but I'm sure he can reach the 80.
I didn't made my predictions for the second round so here it is. I will not do fancy things like my first round predictions, too long.
Tampa-Wash : Wash in 7
Philly-Boston : Can't make a choice honestly, if Bruins don't wake up Philly in 6 and if Bruins wake up Bruins in 6.
Nucks-Nash : Nucks in 6
SJ-DET- Detroit in 6
I'm not sure of those ones as I was from the first round though, things are getting harder in each round. My first round predictions were 50% ( the exact amount of games+winner) and I got the winner of the series 7 times on 8.

I'm already in trouble SJ leads 2-0 so the Wings need to win 4 straight games and TP is leading 2-0 too.

WOW! I sure didn't expect the Bruins to come out and play as well as they did on Saturday. Let's hope they keep it up tonight! I'd love to have a 2-0 series lead heading back to Boston.

Hmmm, Montreal lost 3 games in OT and the other by 1 goal. That Flyers beat down makes me feel better about myself; and makes me realize that I shouldn't be as big of a Carey Price hater.

Carey saved alot of goals in that series. I was expecting this to happen since Philly's goalies are average.
