As for too early...duh...it is too early to assume anyone. No assumptions being made. Just listing the top Canadian goalies. Corey Crawford? Anyone who said that was on crack. Mention of SMith is just because if the games were tomorrow...you would have to have him on the roster shortlist at the very least.

Alright...I made a mistake. Used up the whole allotment for a year.

Your conversation has been off the topic, so could you stop talking about Salt Lake City and Zamuner etc..
Semi-final matchups:
Finland - Russia
Czech Rep. - Slovakia
These will be tough matches against rivalries.

As for the quaterfinal results:
You swedes, do you ever cheer loudy? Compared to Helsinki arena the Globen is totally quiet. I'm glad the tournament moves now to Finland. It's gonna be good weekend

Russia-Finland = 6:2
The Reds are becoming "Machine" again...
Suomi had NO bit of a chance. I insist. NO chance. Simply because Russia now is a completely dirigible mechanism. Every one "knows his maneuver ". Yes, the beginning of attack is still to be worked at, defenders feel nervous sometimes (we have 9 debutants of world forums in this team) - but forwards are brilliant, Varly gets more confidence and some flaws discovered in the first periods of games are being repaired by coach-team and players in 2nd and 3rd. We wait for any of Slav brothers there, on the summit of the Ice Mountain. And we are ready.

Re: World Championships 2012 at Helsinki/Stockholm
I don't think so...
Without prejudice, Slovaks have a gritty team nowadays but we have more options than them: if two periods won't finish this battle we might simply outskate them (the average age of Slovak team should be around 30-31). yes, they have nothing to lose...but we are stronger and ready to prove it. We'll take what is ours.
And now the Chechs are battling with Finns. I think Slavs should win...
(2 hours later) Quod Erat Demonstrandum. The team that bothers itself to play only in one of the three periods in all of the play-off games (I mean Finland) - this team must be vanquished.

Congratulations Russia!
Nice sign of respect for Demitra by Chara when he wore Demitra's jersey after the match.
