I must admit, I do like the feel of the layout, having played precious OOTP games though I was used to the way they do things. Anyway, onto about 2/3 hours or gameplay sorting everything out before I even touch the continue button

No, everyone lost.cimluj wrote:did someone win a championship or a title in any league?
Isn't 7 years max for free agents from other teams?danzoeee wrote:So I've played 2 seasons, half way trough 3rd with the blue jackets, started off with trading me a top5 entry draft pick(since i will most likely be in the bottom 10 the 1st season) I wanted to get some youth potential for the next year.. Drafted Elias Lindholm, Hunter Shinkaruk and Ryan Pulock, Elias Lindholm got the chance in the first line right away, Shinkaruk played in 3rd for the first year..
Elias Lindholm finished the 1st season with 76p 37 goals 39 assists.
Got Karl Alzner, Jonas Enroth and Kyle Clifford as free agents during the summer.
Second season I finished as 2nd in my conference and 5th overall, but got knocked off in the 2nd round in the playoffs by Edmonton Oilers.
During the trade in the winter I traded Brandon Dubinsky and 1st or 2th round for Evgeni Malkin(scored the most goal that season) And got into a bid war for Dustin Brown during the summer, got him at 8year deal 5,8m each year.
Traded Artem Anisimov and a 1st round pick for Sam Reinhart who is doing just fine this season.. Right now, half way through the 3rd season Im the conference leader and top3 overall in points..
Anyway, what I wanted to really discuss is the weird thing in Malkin! He starts off with like 4½ stars or something the first season? Drops off to 3½ or 4 stars the second season and now, with my Blue Jackets he has 3 stars in ability?! What the hell, he's one of the best players in the league..
I'm not a fan of the interface style at all, but looking at OOTP it seems I'm going to have to accept the "company style" in terms of interface (of course FHM's a beta so I'm sure the interface will improve)Octavian wrote:I'm still getting used to the interface which is a bit less straightforward then the ones sigames and Reeves built.
I haven't done much play testing at all, so I'm not sure...but "maybe not yet" as I have seen posts on the FHM/OOTP site expressing the need for improvement in terms of search/filter functionalityOctavian wrote:searching players can only be done by name? I would like to find some good defenders for instance. Any possibility to search or filter by attributes or skills?
I think ootp interface does the trick as well but once you start adding in 20 plus leagues like FHM has it becomes alittle tedious exploring the world. But it's still much easier in OOTP than in FHM.archibalduk wrote:I've been playing a bit of OOTP Baseball 14 and the interface does take some getting used to if you're used to the SI Games style of interface. I do really like the OOTPB interface now that I'm used to it. The menus and screens are well laid out and there are some nice shortcut buttons for common tasks along the right edge of the screen. You can also customise what is shown on each screen which is really neat. However, I find FHM's interface a real pain to use. Although it does resemble OOTPB's interface, it's nowhere near as easy or as intuitive to use.
Hmmm I think we need an :Octavian: ghost smilie!!
