Manimal always adjusts the salary cap to match what the real life one is. Unfortunately, we can't do anything about how the game's AI works.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
I just want to verify I'm reading right before I screw it up (covering the freak occurrence now instead of later, I'd bet real money most of these will not happen with anyone):
Assuming you don't sign a goalie prospect with the Flames:
1. If one guy goes down, you use the grayed out
2. If both go down long enough (2 weeks), you can sign cover (just 1 and your backup grey?) as allowed: and you can put that cover on waivers and keep them in Omaha if they clear?
3. Again looking at freak situation highly unlikely to occur: If both go down for less than two weeks, you use the grey goaltenders.
I think I follow it through the rules, but want to double check just in case I'm cranking along in a season, I'm too impatient to wait for a response then
(and I want to decide if it's worth signing a prospect to cover injuries or let them stay in juniors)

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
That's pretty much it. It's highly unlikely to happen. After the first season, I would suggest signing some goaltending depth. You could use that as part of a UFA signing, you could draft and sign a goalie, sign one of your prospect goalies, or even trade for an older goalie with your pick for vet deal.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
The two prospect goalies are also too young for AHL IIRC. You would have to keep them on the roster.

Yup! One of them (Sanza) is 19, so I think you could sign him going into season 2 and assign him to the AHL.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
I don't think we're quite ready for that yet. We do plan to use it in the future but as of this moment, it still seems like there are too many issues.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
If you sign the two players for under $2m as the tier two option, can you sign an additional foreign player that cannot join your team until next year due to transfer? And then that player counts towards next years FA limit?

7.2 UFAs may only be signed between 1 July and 31 August, inclusive. If the player is from Europe and will not transfer during the UFA signing period, take a screenshot of the news item where they accept the contract. Keep this screenshot on your computer (no need to post it) in case the signing is called into question.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
Can I suggest allowing the draft pick trade in the first season? Since it usually takes 3 years for a good draftee to matter getting that extra second rounder in the first draft would help the rebuilding since right now I feel drafts don't really help rebuild since it takes at least 3-5 seasons.

Will the challenge winners be assigned before the new rosters come out and the new challenge starts? Since the scoring was changed and he created an algorithm for it aren't the correct final results just as they appear now?

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
I have awarded the bonus points for the Atlanta Challenge. The points are calculated automatically, but a Mod must click on a link within the Challenge Index in order for the sever to carry out the calculations.
I'll post a news announcement listing the winners and Trophies either this evening or tomorrow. In the mean time, you can browse here to see the overall standings: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/ch ... =29&s=3&q=

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
Do I need to make screenshots of staff signings as well? I'll probably fire a coach and 2 scouts to make room for a better coach and 2 scouts

Just remember you cannot sign a new Head coach until he has been with you for six months in a different role

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
Any thought to running two challenges simultaneously? I would like to try an OHL type challenge as I have never played a serious OHL game but know most people (myself included) would prefer an NHL challenge as the main one.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
We've run an OHL challenge in the past. We've also done the QMJHL and WHL. I'm sure we'll run a junior challenge again sometime. We try not to run more than one challenge at a time though because then we're splitting our participation between the two challenges. We'd rather get as many people involved in a single challenge as possible.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
Any chance we could try to have a challenge that goes beyond CHL/NHL teams? I realize some rules would need to be added but it might be fun to try ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers or maybe a European team? I can't quite remember if the relegation/promotion system actually works between the Elitserien and Allsvenskan but these would be some interesting and unique challenges.

The relegation/promotion does work between the Swedish Leagues

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
Alot of the guys do not realize how those leagues work. It takes some experimentation and practice. I have only played in Europe 1 time, but would love to try it. We have thought about it in the past i Know...scoring for the challenges would have to change as well. It is really different playing as an Allskevan team trying to get promoted. Finances, are sooooo different.
I would totally be in for a Swede challenge if someone set up the rules (clearly not too hard to start with as little to no experience for most)

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
I'd love to take a club like Malmö or Asplöven all the way to the Le Mat.
I'm sure the Swedish challenge rules could be built around something similar to the current challenge rules. Transfers being severely limited and more of a focus on homegrown players from the youth clubs.

Re: Challenge Questions & Feedback Thread
I am actually just about to start a game in Allsvenskan!
The rules and stat-scoring would be very different.
A possible promotion/demotion would also be hard to manage points-wise
