The IceDogs head out on the road, travelling to play the Plymouth Whalers! Brent Moran stopped 18 of the 22 shots he faced, and the Whalers scored dramatically in the final seconds to force overtime, however, IceDogs defenseman Ville Jarvinen would emerge as the hero, scoring the overtime winner midway through the extra frame!

Nicholas Malone stopped 18 of the 19 shots he faced in the game, and though the Greyhounds scored first, the IceDogs would score five unanswered goals to take the victory!

The Finnish Four Nations Under-20 Tournament resumes play today, pitting the Czech Republic against Russia, Finland, and Sweden! The Czech Republic defeated Russia 2-0 in the opening game of the tournament on October 20th!

Sweden defeat Finland 3-2! First star honours would go to Swedish winger Oskar Lindblom, who recorded three assists! Second star would go to Swedish winger Henrik Tornqvist, who scored two goals, and an assist! Third star would go to Swedish goaltender Jesper Eriksson, who stopped 28 of 30 shots in the victory!
Former IceDogs defenseman Luke Mercer has already been locked up for another year by his current team, Biel-Bienne of the Swiss National League, who signed him to a 1 year contract extension that will pay him $92.5K next season!

The IceDogs remain on the road, travelling to play the Guelph Storm! Brent Moran stopped 20 of the 23 shots he faced, and though the IceDogs led 2-0 going into the third, the Storm scored twice in the third to force overtime, where Guelph center Cleon Leach emerged as the hero, scoring the overtime winner just seconds into the extra period!
