Well on the positive side no more early mornings for me but this sucks
Thank god Dan Boyle's contract ends... I watched 3/7 games and in every game he made lot of mistakes

Hard to decide if it's better to be a Leaf fan or a Shark fan today. I'm still weighing the pros and cons.

Poor Sharks seriously. I almost feel bad for them. They don't need to change the coach. This always happened with different coaches. They definitely need new players. That's absolutely not normal to choke that much like this team is doing.
I'm sad that the Avs did not make it though. Minnesota is like their nemesis in playoffs.
The improvement that team showed this year though is amazing. The coaches, the young guys, futur looks bright for them so they don't need to be ashamed to have lost in the first round. They got from the 29th position to the 3rd after all! The serie even though it ended 4-3 is not as close as the result look like. Varlamov did ALOT to help the team survive. Except for game #2 where the team was on fire all the game were pretty close and the Avs made alot of mistakes, which is normal for such a young team. They earned alot of experience this year which is the most important.
And Tortorella is fired. Maybe the arrival of Linden changed the owner mind.

Yeah it sucks for the Sharks but they did lose to the Kings, not some random first round loss. The collapse is the hard part. They didn't have reliable goaltending though, its always hard when you are changing netminders. Their D also isn't what it used to be and they have to rely on basically on heavy offense.
I picked the Avs as my rebound team from last year since they are just so loaded with young talent and it showed. They have a lot of studs on the team. If they can get some more wing support and some more D they could be set for awhile.
The Torts firing is just another bad sign for Canucks, they have gone from Cup contenders to pretty mismanaged quickly. It is a shame the one year of Torts didn't work out, I think its more of a fresh start than blaming things on Torts with all the injuries and goaltender problems.

I don't blame Torts for everything...I mean look at what Gillis did.
But the Nucks have the same offense almost as last year and they barely did something. Kesler was the best scorer with a little bit more than 20 goals and the Sedins had an awful season, one of their worse since 2002! Maybe Torts system wasn't clearly understood by the players. Batdad? Add something to that?

Excellent game today. Love to see the Habs lose. Blow a 2 goal lead in 9 minutes, now that's what I like to see.

How many leads did your Sens lost against the Habs this season?
Yeah good game and good serie overall so far. Bruins were the team with the most goals scored in third period this season and it showed right there. They weren't that much good in the first and second and that's why MTL took the lead.

Men what's happening to TBL! We're in the middle of the playoffs and the thread's dead!
Kings seems unstoppable now! I know they did the trick to San Jose but if they take a 3-0 lead against Anaheim I don't see them coming back at all.

And now they have two home games. I think Selänne only has two games left in his career.philou21 wrote:Men what's happening to TBL! We're in the middle of the playoffs and the thread's dead!![]()

Always possible to play in Jokerit, especially now when they're in KHL from next season, so...

If Ducks had just won the first game but no.
Okay, it wouldn't wholly solve everything but 1-2 is much better than 0-3 (if we suppose that Kings win the Game 3).

Nice win by Minnesota. Haula is really a nice player to watch!
Glad also that Montreal won. Rask is the only reason I'd like to see Boston win.

The Habs played a strong game I was surprised. I know they're good at home but they could've had a let down like in game #2. If it wasn't for that they will be leading 3-0 already! Boston though is good at bouncing back against MTL so for tomorrow's game they better be prepared.

I think the serie winner is the one who wins tomorrow.philou21 wrote:The Habs played a strong game I was surprised. I know they're good at home but they could've had a let down like in game #2. It's all Ginette Renophilou21 wrote:The Habs played a strong game I was surprised. I know they're good at home but they could've had a let down like in game #2. I expected Montreal to come out strong, but I expected Boston to do so too. They didn't really. They weren't bad (except for a stretch in the 3rd), but they weren't really strong either. Ever since the beginning of the series, they dig themselves a hole, then try to get out of it. It worked once, but it won't always work.
Kudos to both teams for getting only one penalty each. So atypical. It was probably a one-off though...
