Yeah, that's not bad. I can see doing that. We got a 4th for Jurcina, right? No way those guys are worth a 1st, even if we hadn't sent them anything in return.flea wrote:Uffff, I feel better nowSystemfel wrote:It's not a 1st, it's a 4th rounder. So big shocker, HockeyBuzz.com was wrong.
http://www.bostonbruins.com/blog/No way Kobasew and Ference are worth a first round draft pick IMO.

I'd love to see the Bruins pick up Doan in the off-season. He's the type of player we could really use!Minstrel wrote:Given the players they brought in this year including Nolan and Roenick I can totally see Bertuzzi as a Yote next year. I'm really interested though in what happens with Doan... I think he'd be a major impact player on a team that he knows isn't a joke.
Speaking of players not playing up to potential will anyone be willing to sign on the dotted waiver claim line to inheret Sergei Samsonov and his $3.5 million dollar contract? I say he clears on Wednesday unclaimed and becomes the first official victim of the "no dead money" era. If Montreal were able to eat any of that contract to soften the blow I bet they could have found someone willing to take a chance on him. But since teams can no longer "eat" salary under the new CBA this is going to happen with more and more players I'd guess.
I'm confused....didn't he already clear waivers? Have they put him on again and I'm just missing something?Minstrel wrote:Speaking of players not playing up to potential will anyone be willing to sign on the dotted waiver claim line to inheret Sergei Samsonov and his $3.5 million dollar contract? Nagy went to the Stars.Shadd666 wrote:Back on Wings-Yotes deal, it's a good one for the Yotes for sure! You're right the Wings get absolutely nothing in this deal; but mainly that's because the deal was with DallasShadd666 wrote:Back on Wings-Yotes deal, it's a good one for the Yotes for sure! Not this year maybe...Shadd666 wrote:OopsI was watching Systemfel avatar near of the trade annoucement, which confused me
Wings or Stars, doesn't matter!I don't think Nagy deserves a 1st rounder...
I can't argue with his being an imporvement over Samsonov, but that line would be a great EHM line but a horrific real life line. What exactly would be gained from putting two guys that should score 50 a year but can't/won't/don't care to on the same line with Nagy and Kovalev?? What Nagy needs is to be with for example Modano and Lindros (when healthy), a playmaker and a guy who can fight for pucks to feed said playmaker and allow Nagy to be a finisher. Put two guys that are great when playing with good playmakers together with a 5'8" center and you've got a nightmare IMHO.CatchUp wrote:Nagy-Koivu-Kovalev is tasty. Much tastier then Samsonov.
