Energy Lines

Post by matt44 »

I've read abit about people having energy lines, what are they used for? How are they used? Are they used aswell as, or instead of, a checking/shutdown line? Obviously stamina would be a requirement but what else? Are they just sent out for a 20 second shift to hit everything that moves?

You've got it :D

It's generally the 4th line, who jumps on the ice to grind everything. Stamina is not that important, as they won't play more than 5 minutes per game. Strength, aggression and hitting are way more important. Enforcer type players, eventually power forwards. Don't expect a lot of scoring from such lines, nor positive +/- ratings. It's a hitting party, and sometimes a fighting party :D
