We lost to the Wings 5-4 in regulation. Then the next night we be the Blue Jackets 5-2. Ellis was in net for both games. That win against Columbus broke our 5 game winless streak. "Legwand thrilled at turn of fortune"

And in the game after my post we win with 8-4 against Blue Jackets and Arnott gets 4 points (2+2) and is the man of the match.

I think that I'll actually try out a challenge for the first time ever :D Nashville is one team I've never actually coached, and surely never coached any team under these harsh circumstances!

Glad to see another person joining in! They're a very poor team to start out with but over the course of a few seasons they'll get better and you'll find way to get more out of the players you have.

yeah I hope so, this far they suck^^ or well, I do as a GM for them, but I'm hoping to get Tavares and start the climb :D season 2 will be more interesting with 2 trades and signing free agent

Sullivan was the shining star the first year in my non-talented Predators squad... however mainly due to Arnott and Dumont being injured for parts of the season. Season 2 should be interesting as I suprisingly enough am happy with the base of the squad, just needs 1-2 good players via UFA and Trades... enjoying the challenge for sure, noticed Blackhawks got a scaringly good PP vs my PK (of course my PK is by far worst in the league, a bit too many fights this year)... Flames I seemed to have rather easy beating however

It's the trade deadline in season 1 of my game. I can't take part in the fun but I was looking at some of the deals that went down. As usual, the Bruins traded away Chara in the first season... like he's the problem! Anyhow, it was an interesting deal this time. He was sent back to Ottawa and Heatley went to Boston in exchange! :-o

In my game Bruins won the Eastern Conference, and of course they kept Chara. :-D

NYR won the Stanley Cup defeating Dallas Stars.

Starting to regret signing Denis and Craig Johnson as free agents, Grossman should have been a better "good" player... and Denis aint even better than Ellis...

So after Sullivan wnet down he was out for the season. Arnott and Dumont finished 1-2 in League Scoring (133 and 124 points), that pretty much doubled the next point total.

The World Championships are just starting and between Nashville and Milwaukee the organization has 13 players there. 4 on team Canada being the most.

Finishing last at this point I'm hoping I win the Draf Lottery. As much as I'd love to take Tavares I might take Hedman because I need the D help. We'll see.

I traded Blum for Varlamov. Now my goal tending is set.

I also signed Jack Johnson as a VERY GOOD free agent and signed Zack Kassian as a good UFA.

I then traded Martin Erat to L.A. for Thomas Hickey and Marc-Andre Cliche.

Since I had Colin Wilson ready for the NHL, i figured I would cut my total payroll.

Wade Belak showed up for this game - rating of 8, scored my only goal, lol...

Sullivan is really widdling me off - since the regular season started 6-6-5-6

I just want to remind everone... please make sure to include a screenshot of your "Trades" screen even though we aren't allowed to make any trades in season 1.

I have NEVER seen the Bruins do well in one of my games unless I was the one controlling them.

Yeah, I'm thinking you may have broken one of the challenge rules there.
6.10 You may not trade out any player less than least twelve months (i.e. one year) after you signed/acquired him. This does not include players who were originally on your roster when you first started the game.

So more post-season news.

Arnott won the Ross and the Hart, came in second for the Pearson and was named to the First All-Star team.

Dumont won the Richard trophy.

And I won the draft lottery, still undecided, but will more than likely end up taking Tavares.

I traded Kevin Klein, Radek Bonk and Cody Franson for Varlamov.

I wasn't even close to get Varlamov for just Blum. :dunno:

Ugggh! You've got to be kidding me! It's early March and I'm turning things around. We've got a nice little win streak going and I'm up to 6th in the conference (which is actually tied for 3rd in points with 3 other teams). Mid-game against the 1st placed Red Wings, Legwand goes out with an injury. We hang for a 5-3 win. I check my news after the game and I see that Legwand has partially torn ACL and will miss 3 months!

I'm going to bring up Hornqvist and give him a shot at 2nd line center. If that doesn't work out, Bonk will move up to that spot, Platonov will slide over from LW to Center on the third line, and I'll move Fiddler or Nichol up to third line LW. Then I can just bring somebody up to play 4th line LW. I'm hoping I can still keep things going and make the playoffs.
