Glad to see another person joining in! They're a very poor team to start out with but over the course of a few seasons they'll get better and you'll find way to get more out of the players you have.Rougesang wrote:I think that I'll actually try out a challenge for the first time everNashville is one team I've never actually coached, and surely never coached any team under these harsh circumstances!

Sullivan was the shining star the first year in my non-talented Predators squad... however mainly due to Arnott and Dumont being injured for parts of the season. Season 2 should be interesting as I suprisingly enough am happy with the base of the squad, just needs 1-2 good players via UFA and Trades... enjoying the challenge for sure, noticed Blackhawks got a scaringly good PP vs my PK (of course my PK is by far worst in the league, a bit too many fights this year)... Flames I seemed to have rather easy beating however

It's the trade deadline in season 1 of my game. I can't take part in the fun but I was looking at some of the deals that went down. As usual, the Bruins traded away Chara in the first season... like he's the problem!
Anyhow, it was an interesting deal this time. He was sent back to Ottawa and Heatley went to Boston in exchange!

So after Sullivan wnet down he was out for the season. Arnott and Dumont finished 1-2 in League Scoring (133 and 124 points), that pretty much doubled the next point total.
The World Championships are just starting and between Nashville and Milwaukee the organization has 13 players there. 4 on team Canada being the most.
Finishing last at this point I'm hoping I win the Draf Lottery. As much as I'd love to take Tavares I might take Hedman because I need the D help. We'll see.

I traded Blum for Varlamov. Now my goal tending is set.Rougesang wrote:Starting to regret signing Denis and Craig Johnson as free agents, Grossman should have been a better "good" player... and Denis aint even better than Ellis...
I also signed Jack Johnson as a VERY GOOD free agent and signed Zack Kassian as a good UFA.
I then traded Martin Erat to L.A. for Thomas Hickey and Marc-Andre Cliche.
Since I had Colin Wilson ready for the NHL, i figured I would cut my total payroll.

Ugggh! You've got to be kidding me! It's early March and I'm turning things around. We've got a nice little win streak going and I'm up to 6th in the conference (which is actually tied for 3rd in points with 3 other teams). Mid-game against the 1st placed Red Wings, Legwand goes out with an injury. We hang for a 5-3 win. I check my news after the game and I see that Legwand has partially torn ACL and will miss 3 months!
I'm going to bring up Hornqvist and give him a shot at 2nd line center. If that doesn't work out, Bonk will move up to that spot, Platonov will slide over from LW to Center on the third line, and I'll move Fiddler or Nichol up to third line LW. Then I can just bring somebody up to play 4th line LW. I'm hoping I can still keep things going and make the playoffs.
