Yeah, it was a painful game to watch last night. I was expecting a good game, not a blowout. Does anyone know what Ovechkin said to Gonchar, they were talking for awhile.Hypnotist wrote:Painful watching the Caps-Pens games tonight. Caps didn't play bad until they gave up 2 goals in 8 seconds in the 1st. They've pretty much phoned it in since. Those goals seemed to rattle Varlamov and he let in two more softies before being yanked. Maybe we'll see a rematch of last year's Cup Final, Wings-Pens!!
You will be holding an EHM sign won't you?I'll be at Joe Lewis Arena for game 7 tomorrow night!!! LET'S GO RED WINGS!!!!

Go Ducks!
At the least, I hope this game is better than last nights game, whoever wins.

Don't worry, I'll post pics of the Wings inevitable victory when I get home.getzlaf15 wrote:I'm insanely Jealous of you!Hypnotist wrote:I'll be at Joe Lewis Arena for game 7 tomorrow night!!! LET'S GO RED WINGS!!!!

umm... no. I go to hockey games to watch hockey not act like a tool and trying to get on TV. I hate those people who stand up and wave their arms when the puck passes them. Friggin' idiots.Qikdraw wrote:You will be holding an EHM sign won't you?

I know the announcers were saying that, but did they give an interview afterward and explain that or what? I'm just curious.timmy_t wrote:Ovechkin apologized to Gonchar for the knee on knee hit. He also congratulated Sidney Crosby and told him that he hoped he wins the Stanley Cup this year.

Ovechkin talked about it after the game, I'm sure there is some video of it. He said he apologized to Gonchar, but when he was asked if Gonchar accepted his apology he said he did not know.timmy_t wrote:Ovechkin apologized to Gonchar for the knee on knee hit. The part where he wished Crosby good luck was asked by a reporter to Sid, and Sid didn't really comment on it.
I honestly don't think Ovechkin is a dirty player, and I don't think he hit Gonchar's knee on purpose. But the only one that knows if he meant to hurt Gonchar is Ovechkin.

Yeah, it was a great game, too bad for the Ducks though. But just losing with one goal and always catching up when the Wings led was great.
I hope that Ducks will be this strong next year as well.
I also think that Ducks should keep Giguere, sure Hiller was great during the playoff, but if Hiller isn't performing his best next season they need to have another good keeper.

As much as i want Giguere back as he's been immense in previous years, I don't think it'll happen. I think Hiller has that starter spot nailed already. I think Giguere had a bad year and will bounce back next year, just not with the Ducks. And as much as it pains me to say it we don't need a high paid back-up and a lower paid starter. Save the cap space Ducks, re-sign Niedermayer or add a 2nd line centre, not someone like floppy Morrison this year though!joehelmer wrote:I also think that Ducks should keep Giguere, sure Hiller was great during the playoff, but if Hiller isn't performing his best next season they need to have another good keeper.
There brave picks Tasku, another 2 game 7's! I think Detroit in 6 and Pens in 7.Tasku wrote:Chicago - Detroit 4-3

It's a shame to see the Ducks crash out too. Having knocked out the Sharks, I was hoping they'd make it to the finals. The Sharks are another team who were very strong during the season but couldn't last the length of the playoffs.
I think out of the remaining four I'll be rooting for Minty's Chicago Blackhawks. They've had such a rough ride for years that it would be really nice to see it come good for them. Plus, I know how much Minty loves the Hawks and hates the Wings!
