Ozzy was dehydrated from standing there watching a game in his net and having to do nothing I guess. At least that is what the Wings said.

Chicago is going to learn a ton from this. They are going to be one hell of a force to deal with in the future, if they can keep the team together. That albatross contract of Brian Turnoverbell though might kill them.

Pens-Wings. If Wings are healthy this is gonna be one heck of a series.

Between the Pens and Hawks..the future is clearly forseeable.

Red Wings... Pens... Hawks... So nobody thinks the Hurricanes can win it all this season despite being down 3-0 to the Pens, knowing that no team in NHL history overcame a 3-0 deficit in the Conference Finals and knowing that no team in NHL history won the Conference Finals after going to game 7 in rounds 1 and 2? Ok, neither do i :p

It's a bit surprising to see the Pens in the Finals though (ok, they still have one game to win to be there, but hem...). Just 3 months ago, there was good reasons to wonder if they'd even make the playoffs. And now they're most likely to return to the Finals, and most likely to cross the path of the Red Wings again. With one major difference: this year they have a real chance against Detroit. I think the Wings will be champs again though. But it will be very close. And with tons of emotions. Stanley Cup Finals + second straight year that the teams meet at this stage + Marian Hossa gone from one team to the other... Should be an excellent finish to the season!

I would love to see the Canes come back and beat the Pens. As a Wing fan, I am really not looking forward to a rematch of last years final with the young Pittsburgh squad a year better and a year wiser. But I don't see a cup final in Carolina's future either. But all in all, I don't care who wins the east just as long as it goes to game 7 with triple overtime in each game :D

Wanna see some exiting finals. No matter which teams will play, they both should be in good shape! :check:

Congratulations to the Penguins for their Eastern Conference Championship! All though they beat my 2nd favorite team in the NHL, the Washington Capitals, I'm happy that they are playing so well right now. I don't think the Capitals were ready this year, and even if they had some how made it to the Finals, I seriously doubt that they could have beat the Red Wings.

Go Penguins!!

I am honestly surprised that they beat Carolina in four, my prediction was 3-4 for Pens in the end. Oh well, you know what? It doesn't matter in the end, because Detroit is gonna win anyway :-D Hossa FTW !

My crystal ball tells me that the Wings are going to take care of business tonight at the Joe. Then they go and get kicked around by the Pens in what will be the least exciting Cup finals since the Wings crushed the Caps many, many years ago.

The both team that will be in the stanley cup final are two team i don't like :-D Instead i hate most the Wings than the Pens,so i go for the Pens!

But for a more ''professional'' prediction, i think the Pens gonna have there revenge, they are on fire, Malkin/Crosby produce already what they do last year and the Pens are more confortable and more experimented than lasr year. That's what miss to them last year, now it's there turn to lift the Lord Stanley trophy! :1st:

I may be biased, but I think you guys are shortchanging the Wing's defense. Lids should be back by game 1 of the finals at the latest. That puts our top four back in order. We shut down the Hawk's dynamic duo both with and without Lids.

That being said, the Pens do scare me, but to say that the Wings are going to get kicked around? Brother, I want some of what you're smokin'!

Hopefully the Wings will close out the WCF tonight and then we'll all see.

I think even without Lidstrom, the Wings have a strong defence. It's amazing that in game five they could rely solely on their top four defencemen and then use Chelios and Meech for a few minutes. They must have some serious fitness regime.

Did you see that save by Huet right at the end of third period? It was absolutely fantastic 8-)

I'll be hoping the Pens win the Cup but I have a sneaking suspicion that it'll be a repeat of last year. Then again, I think Malkin is on fire this time around whereas last year I remember him fading into the background.

The save was immense and deserved a win just for that! :-D

I think the both teams have improved as of last year. Hossa adds a lot for Detroit. And Kunitz is an undervalued player. Malkin needs to show us the form he's had all year if the Pens are gonna win it! Come on you Pens!

I think Fleury was quite unlucky last night with those two bounces. Detroit were nonetheless the better team although the Pens did make it hard for them.

And so after 105 games (104 for Detroit), 315 Periods (Discounting Overtime), 6300 Minutes of Regulation, 672 Goals between them, it comes down to 1 game... As much as I dislike Pittsburghs chances, I'm still going to cheer for them!

Any predictions anyone? I'm going with 2nd overtime, 3-2 victory for Detroit! Marian Hossa with the Game-Winner! :-D

To be honest i don't like the both team but i hate the Wings so darn much that i hope the Pens will win, even if i know this is almost impossible. :-D But just hope to have a good show tonight and it will be pretty cool to have an overtime! What a final this would make! :-p

As much as this pains me to say it, I'm also going 3-2 for Detroit, but I think Pavel Datsyuk gets the winner. Helm and Zetterberg also score for Detroit, while Crosby and Talbot score for the Pens.

Enjoyable first period, a couple of important saves near the end of the period to keep it tied at 0-0. I am still going for a Pens victory this evening though. 8-)

Lakers prediction so far looks good for money. Talbot with the opening goal. Crosby has left the ice though, so maybe it won't totally come true.

I'm now taking bets that Crosby returns to the ice. Trying to be a hero, like Paul Kariya in game 6 back in 2003. :-D

EDIT: 2-0, now taking bets for Talbot to score a hat-trick and win Conn Smythe. Good price at 15-1. :-D

I think Talbot will get a Hattrick and the end of the second will be 3-0.

Fantastic finish with an incredible save by Fleury. I agree with one of the comments above: I dislike both teams, but DESPISE the Red Wings.

Congrats to the Pens!

Awesome game to watch though I hate the Penguins... talk about getting top picks at the right time.

Still, it makes me smile thinking about Marian Hossa :)
