Beyond that, i don't have the foggiest Batman. Maybe this Carter/Hartnell/Hartnells wife love triangle really has divided the team so much.

I have a source that says that is completely untrue (fairly reliable guy from another site I know a bit, who knows a few guys here and there). Nothing Hartnell-Carter related. More like Richards-Pronger issues. And no...not Pronger involved with anyone, nor was his wife seeking revenge. Just a Type A battle.

So Scott Hartnell and Marc Savard appeared on the Price is Right.

I just saw the CBJ-Caps trade and I agree with philou, just sounds weird. The Caps get some breathing space cap-wise, but what does this give the Jackets? Leadership and another middling defenseman? One of the guys on Versus quoted Howson as saying they needed a top four d-man, but Jurcina is not a top 4 guy (I would agree) so maybe another deal in the making? But other than financially, this deal doesn't make a lot of sense for either team.

Maybe the jackets will be going after Schneider since he wants out of van so he can get more icetime.Hypnotist wrote:I just saw the CBJ-Caps trade and I agree with philou, just sounds weird. Hopefully Caps don't take those polls seriously. I don't want to see Ovie with C, Caps have better captain candidates.McQwak wrote:Or that Alex "purple t-shirt" SeminJypfan92 wrote:I think Caps next captain is Tom Poti or Mike Knuble. At 40 I wouldn't call Schneids a top-4 d-man either. Plus, I don't see Howson dealing for an old player like this. His trade style leans heavily towards young 2nd tier talenteric1985 wrote:Maybe the jackets will be going after Schneider since he wants out of van so he can get more icetime.Hypnotist wrote:I just saw the CBJ-Caps trade and I agree with philou, just sounds weird. Certainly, being the face of the franchise and it's difference maker will go a long way. I'd protest more if they had a stronger vet who'd make a better captain a la Dave Andreychuk.batdad wrote:Ovie will be the captain. No question in my mind. He is the face of the franchise. I mean, other than die hard hockey fans who the heck would have thought Chris Clark was their captain.
IMHO--Caps made a HORRIBLE trade. Clark is a great character guy. Chimera is fast. End of story.
