‘Pledge & Play’ Playoff Challenge!
We at The Blue Line are extremely excited to announce that we will be running a Stanley Cup Playoff game of our own creation through our Forums and new Knowledge Base and we’d love to invite everyone to come check it out and pass the news along!
Two great never-before done at TBL aspects of this game is that it will have PRIZES and it will also RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITY!!
About our “PLEDGE AND PLAY PLAYOFF CHALLENGE” Game:
It will be in the format of a “checkbox draft”; you will have groups of players on a list from which you will choose to create your 18 man team. For example “Wingers: List A” holds 22 Wingers from which you will ‘draft’ three for your team! You will get points based upon their real-life statistical performance in the upcoming Stanley Cup Playoffs!
We’ve created a great new scoring system that will test you on how you’ve put your team together. The team that ends with the most points wins their choice of prizes from our PRIZE POOL. You could chose, for example, a Chicago Blackhawks Relpica jersey signed by Hockey Hall of Famer Stan Mikita or a gift certificate to Amazon.com!
HOW YOU CAN PLAY AND HELP:
Click the link in the navigation bar for our new ‘Knowledge Base’ to get full details and to access the roster lists you will chose your team from!
ABOUT THE CHARITY ASPECT:
We’re calling it a “Pledge & Play” game because in order to play we are asking people to make a pledge to contribute to The American Cancer Society in some way.
Come to the Forum and send me a message about what you’ve pledged and any details you’d like to share on our pledge recording page. You can also email me:
One way you can donate is via their donations website (so we won’t be handling anyone’s money):
You can give directly through the web or you can call their Toll-free number or even write. They have done a lot of work to make it as easy as possible for everyone, a big consideration since we know TBL is a global community!
We are in addition accepting pledges from users to provide online gift certificates like Amazon as prizes to people playing the game as an incentive to give and another way to get a little something back as well. If you’d like to contribute to the prize pool just let us know and we’ll give you full credit and the ability to have two teams in the Challenge instead of just one as our thanks!
We hope everyone enjoys this special opportunity. This is dedicated to my father (that’s his picture in the special titlebar) who we lost to prostate cancer a little over two years ago. May all those that have been affected by cancer find strength, hope, health and healing.
