As part of my continuing work to upgrade and improve the site, I shall be making some improvements to the TBL Points System. This shall make the System easier to run for the Admin Team and should make the System a little fairer. Rather than the Admins having to award points for a user’s 100th post, this shall be done automatically. Here it is, the new The Blue Line webserver! It will allow us to provide you with even more EHM files from now on. It was one hell of an adventure for me, from buying the server to making the move. You have to know TBL grew a lot since we started in 2004, especially the database was difficult to move (we didn’t delete a single post since we started in 2004). It’s been nearly a year since the relaunch of TBL (TBL has now been going for over two years) and during that time we were using a Content Management System called Mambo. This provided the site with a great foundation upon which we have steadily been building on over the past year. However, the developers of Mambo have failed to keep it updated (most have moved over to another CMS called Joomla) and so now it lies prone to a number of security flaws and exploits. The Blue Line is proud to present a new site feature: The Image Gallery. You’ll find the new system to be much easier to use and more flexible due to it’s improved features and interface. To access the new Image Gallery, go to the Main Site and click on the “Image Gallery” link located on the navigation bar below the header. Another benefit of our new site design is that this feature will always be just a click of the navigation bar away. In order to provide added flexibility to the site, users now have two ways of accessing the TBL Forums – either in a new window or with the navigation bar at the top of the screen.
