EHM Editor for Eastside Hockey Manager

EHM Editor v0.4.6 Released

Version 0.4.6 of the EHM Editor is now available to download HERE. A full changelist is set out at the end of this post. It has been a been a really disruptive time for me which is why I haven’t been quite so active on the forums and why it has taken so long to release the latest version of the Editor. Sadly I’m around 6+ months behind schedule with Editor v2 which means no release until mid/late 2021. Hopefully over the next few months I can start making some real progress again. This release of the Editor includes a...

Franchise Hockey Manager 7 (FHM 7)

Franchise Hockey Manager 7 Preview

The trailer and feature list has now been published for FHM 7 which is due to go on sale on 16 December 2020. The game can be pre-ordered via Steam and FastSpring. Whilst I’m yet to try out this version of the game, I have to say that my first impression of the preview video and changelist is that this appears to be a genuinely tantalising release. All new for Franchise Hockey Manager 7: 2D Game Engine: Our game simulation has been rebuilt from the ground up, and now shows games in a top-down, fully-animated view that lets you see...

NPF's AI-Generated Facepack

EHM’s first AI-generated facepack

Following hot on the heels of the first Premier Pivot Rosters release for the 2020/21 season is the incredible AI-generated facepack by No Purpose Flour (aka seacucumber3000 on Reddit) for those players created by the Prospect Generator. The pack can be downloaded on Steam HERE and you can find his AI facepack generator called EHM_Faces on Github HERE. EHM_Faces is a machine learning project that can generate high-quality, realistic ice hockey player portraits. The tool can generate portraits either one-at-a-time or in batches. No Purpose Flour notes that the project was started out of frustration over the relative difficulty and...

BKmodern EHM Skin

BKarchitect has released a brand new skin for Eastside Hockey Manager which gives the game a more modern, fresher look. In BK’s own words: The skin is meant to be minimalist, tight and uncluttered. Gone are all the background images, 3D buttons, gradient headings and heavily sectionalized screens. In its place is a simplified and cleaner design with a streamlined palette. Everything has been updated from the ground-up – from team heading designs to in-game rink look to start-up screen logos. The skin colors are actually based on the Autodesk dark mode for AutoCAD products – I am partial to...

Minor Forum Re-organisation

Given that a high proportion of posts made on the TBL Forums relate to data editing and rosters, it makes sense for the Data Editing Forum and the Rosters Forum to be separate forum from the Game Addons Forum (as opposed to being sub-forums). We have therefore moved these directly under the EHM Forum section. As users will be aware, we have always encouraged users to post related questions in the same thread in order to avoid flooding a forum with numerous topics covering the same subject. However, given the complexity of certain aspects of data editing (such as editing/adding...

Converting an EHM 2004 database to EHM 1 format

Somebody recently asked me whether it is possible to import an EHM 2004 database into EHM 1. The answer is “yes” but some tweaking and work will likely be required. Background There are two obstacles/steps when trying to import an EHM 2004 database: You need to convert the EHM 2004 DB into EHM 2007 format. The game can’t do this but my Editor can. You simply open the EHM 2004 DB in the Editor and then click on File -> Save As -> Save as EHM 2007 DB. The import function in the game expects to see various of the...
