Premier Pivot Rosters by xECK29x for Eastside Hockey Manager

Premier Pivot Rosters v5.0 (2020/21) Released

The first release of the Premier Pivot Rosters for 2020/21 is now available on Steam (click here for details and the download link)! The rosters are available in two “editions” this year with one option being a 31 team NHL/AHL like last season and the second option being a 32 team NHL/AHL with Seattle and Palm Springs added to the NHL and AHL respectively. If you would like to use the 32 team edition then you will need to go to the relevant Steam Workshop folder (usually [YOUR STEAM INSTALLATION FOLDER]\SteamApps\workshop\content\301120\1428241604) and rename the relevant database to ‘database.db’. The rosters...

BKmodern EHM Skin

BKarchitect has released a brand new skin for Eastside Hockey Manager which gives the game a more modern, fresher look. In BK’s own words: The skin is meant to be minimalist, tight and uncluttered. Gone are all the background images, 3D buttons, gradient headings and heavily sectionalized screens. In its place is a simplified and cleaner design with a streamlined palette. Everything has been updated from the ground-up – from team heading designs to in-game rink look to start-up screen logos. The skin colors are actually based on the Autodesk dark mode for AutoCAD products – I am partial to...

Minor Forum Re-organisation

Given that a high proportion of posts made on the TBL Forums relate to data editing and rosters, it makes sense for the Data Editing Forum and the Rosters Forum to be separate forum from the Game Addons Forum (as opposed to being sub-forums). We have therefore moved these directly under the EHM Forum section. As users will be aware, we have always encouraged users to post related questions in the same thread in order to avoid flooding a forum with numerous topics covering the same subject. However, given the complexity of certain aspects of data editing (such as editing/adding...

Converting an EHM 2004 database to EHM 1 format

Somebody recently asked me whether it is possible to import an EHM 2004 database into EHM 1. The answer is “yes” but some tweaking and work will likely be required. Background There are two obstacles/steps when trying to import an EHM 2004 database: You need to convert the EHM 2004 DB into EHM 2007 format. The game can’t do this but my Editor can. You simply open the EHM 2004 DB in the Editor and then click on File -> Save As -> Save as EHM 2007 DB. The import function in the game expects to see various of the...

Premier Pivot Rosters 2020/21 – Testers Needed

xECK29x is looking for testers for the upcoming first release of the 2020/21 Premier Pivot Rosters. If you think you can help, then drop him a PM on HFBoards. The latest update from xECK29x is as follows: Known Issues:* Due to extra_config issues from last year I have made the decision to greatly reduce the extra_config data to the maximum I can add with the database being stable, this removes a lot of real-life detail from the sim, there is nothing I can do about this until the 1.5 EHM patch is released.* Any injury, contract extension, draft pick change...

And… We’re back!

After a few weeks of the site being inaccessible, we have now migrated from our old host (who unfortunately couldn’t give us much assistance) to a new host. We are now using a virtual private server rather than shared hosting, so have much greater control over the server and more certainty as to our server resources (which do not need to be shared with other websites). Hopefully we will have a more reliable experience going forward but inevitably there may be a few teething problems. I have been ironing out a few minor issues over the past weekend and it...

EHM Editor for Eastside Hockey Manager

EHM 1 Database Settings Editor

We have come across a seemingly rare bug in the EHM 1 Editor which causes the database to be saved in the incorrect database format. It seems that the Editor switches mid-save from saving in the EHM v1.4.1 format (aka database version 1025) to a tentative EHM v1.5 format (aka database version 1033, albeit this is subject to change). This causes a problem because the ‘Database Version’ setting in the database is set as 1025 whereas the remainder of the database is in fact in version 1033 format. This will cause EHM to crash when trying to create a new...

A New Hockey Dynasty – An EHM Offline Sign-Up Competition

Some of you may be familiar with the excellent Prospect Generator created by IAmActuallyAnOtter which is used for the TBL and Premier Pivot Rosters. He has created an offline competition which doubles-up as a way of improving the Prospect Generator at the same time. It only takes around five minutes to sign-up. If you are interested, head over to Reddit via this post. Sign-ups are expected to be open for another day or so, or until he reaches around 20-40 sign-ups. Further details below: The aim of this game is to create the best family dynasty you can. It takes...

EHM Editor for Eastside Hockey Manager

EHM Editor v0.4.2 Released

Version 0.4.2 of the Eastside Hockey Manager Editor is now available for download. This is one of the bigger releases over the past 12 months and includes a number of fixes and tweaks requested by users. Notably it lays down the groundwork in readiness for EHM v1.5 which will mean the Editor should be fully compatible with v1.5 databases soon after the game patch release (the ETA for which remains to be confirmed). The Editor can be downloaded here: https://www.ehmtheblueline.com/editor New Features: Added support for database version 1033 (EHM game version 1.5); Added UTF-8 support when importing (but not exporting)...
