SI Games Indefinitely Halts Development Of EHM

Sports Interactive have announced today that they have indefinitely halted developing EHM (see SI’s announcement below). Despite being the best hockey management game ever, there will most probably never be another version of the game we all love. This is truly tragic news. The reason for this? Poor sales caused by pirate copies of the game being available on the internet via torrent downloads. Eastside Hockey Manager 2007 Patch 3.0.3 Released

This patch for EHM 2007 can be downloaded HERE. Release Notes Mac Users The Mac version of the game has it’s own database files. To get the data update provided with the patch, you must delete these, so that the game will recreate them and the data changes will take effect. You can do this 2 ways(after installing the patch): 1) Open a Terminal window and type: cd “/Applications/NHL EHM 2007” ( or to wherever you chose to install the game. ) “./data_refresh.sh” 2) Double click the data_refresh AppleScript in the application directory. TBL Points System Upgrade (Now Completed)

As part of my continuing work to upgrade and improve the site, I shall be making some improvements to the TBL Points System. This shall make the System easier to run for the Admin Team and should make the System a little fairer. Rather than the Admins having to award points for a user’s 100th post, this shall be done automatically. TBL Prediction League (2nd Half)

In addition to announcing Challenge 7 (see the news item below), we can also announce that the second half of the prediction league is about to start! This is an opportunity for those that didn’t take part in the first half (i.e. Game 1) to join in. Everyone has been reset to zero points, meaning that everyone is at a level playing field for the second half. New server

Here it is, the new The Blue Line webserver! It will allow us to provide you with even more EHM files from now on. It was one hell of an adventure for me, from buying the server to making the move. You have to know TBL grew a lot since we started in 2004, especially the database was difficult to move (we didn’t delete a single post since we started in 2004). Probaly some files are still missing but we’ll move then as soon as possible.
